Professional support in your corner while you find your footing here
Moving to another country means rebuilding almost everything at once. Even when it's "only temporary". Your routines, your network, sometimes even who you are. I offer short, practical support while you build a new foundation. Together we look for solutions to the adjustment issues you're facing, and you learn to see your new home with fresh eyes.
Expat Counselling

Internationals in and around The Hague looking for support tend to find mostly psychologists and therapists. That's valuable, but not every problem is a psychological one. Fortunately!
As a social worker, my approach is practical. In a conversation with me, you get to the heart of things quickly. I work systemically, solution-focused, and as much as possible on the challenge in front of you, right here and now.
Think of things like:
-
trouble adjusting to your new surroundings;
-
friction at work;
-
worries about family members who aren't settling in;
-
feelings of loneliness;
-
trouble connecting with the Dutch.
I'm a registered social worker, experienced in supporting and guiding people who've made the Netherlands their new home. It's something I have personal experience with myself.
Conversations can take place in English, German, or Dutch, but an interpreter can be arranged if needed. Any additional cost for this is for your own account.
